I just aced my math final. This means a lot to me as I’ve failed every single fucking math class (high school, over 10 years ago) I’ve taken prior to this. I almost cried when I saw the score. I feel smart and proud of myself and fulfilled in a way I’ve never felt before. 

My great grandparents met on a ship from the Philippines to Hawaii. She was Spanish, fair skinned and educated from an affluent family. He was a poor Filipino going to Hawaii to find work at the plantations. They met and fell in love on the ship. They got married shortly after arriving to Hawaii. Crazy ass love story.
